As seen on FREEREPUBLIC.COM, 12 Nov 2009: French President Nicolas Sarkozy says there is no place for full face and body veils such as the burqa, or for the debasement of women, in France. Sarkozy says all beliefs will be respected in France but says "becoming French means adhering to a form of civilization, to values, to morals." Sarkozy said Thursday during a speech on national identity that "France is a country where there is no place for the burqa." Not PC enough you might exclaim? The U.S. should take on this very attitude, lest we be blindsided, if you can call it that. The knockout punch being thrown at the U.S. now can be seen with the naked eye and common sense, well before it has even been thrown. We need to wake up. Hail Mr. Sarkozy, for leading the way. Who would have every thought it would come from Europe, and specifically France, in times such as these?
